Norbert Szemlewski



Norbert Szemlewski is the managing director and shareholder of localis GmbH. He advises medium-sized property companies and especially estate agents on all aspects of strategic management and marketing. His activities also focus on implementing location analyses and advising both companies and private individuals on searching for and purchasing exclusive properties in France.

After studying town and country planning (Degree in Engineering) and Business Management (Degree in Business) he first joined a consultancy company specialising in medium-sized companies. Numerous interdisciplinary projects in various sectors and at different hierarchical levels allowed him to learn what success factors were crucial in everyday business from the perspective of the management consultant. In 2002, he started out as a self-employed management consultant specialising in marketing, strategic management and future management. Having worked extensively on analysis of the property market in France he has excellent knowledge and experience in this field.

In 2008, Norbert Szemlewski founded localis GmbH, which has offices in Dortmund and Paris.

Yangmei Chen 

Master in International Business (ESC Grenoble)

Yangmei Chen is a strategic management and marketing consultant at localis GmbH. She specialises in advising real estate agencies and property developers with respect to the marketing of exclusive French properties in Asia, especially in China. She also advises companies and private individuals wishing to search for and buy property in France and is responsible for service management in Paris.

After studying English, her international career began at a management consultancy company in Shanghai, where she worked as a consultant in the marketing and customer management sectors. Her International Business studies (ESC Grenoble) led her to France. After completing her masters, she primarily focused on projects in market research. Real estate projects led her to an in-depth understanding of the French property market.

Holger Burbach 


Holger Burbach has more than 15 years experience as an IT consultant and software developer. His key expertise lies in the technical implementation of complex internet portals, the development of document management systems and in online marketing and search engine optimisation. He works both for corporations and for medium-sized companies.

After studying computing, his career took him to various leading national and international IT companies. As a project manager, he has primarily been responsible for the development of complex Java applications.

Peter D. Atherton 

Bachelor of Science (Westminster University, London)

Peter D Atherton is a consultant in property marketing and change management. He advises property market companies on the development of strategies for marketing luxury French properties in Europe and Asia. As a business coach he also specialises in the implementation of sales and communication training courses, particularly for international builders and estate agents, and in supporting change processes within the company.

After studying engineering, he began his career in sales. He was promoted so sales manager for a medium-sized industrial company in Great Britain and took over sales responsibilities in Germany. In 2002, he started out as a self-employed sales trainer and management consultant in the fields of marketing and change management. His customers included corporations, medium-sized construction companies and estate agencies.
